About Twin Perspectives Women-Only Tours
If you’re planning on taking the plunge and booking onto a women-only tour in 2026, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve been running women-only tours, in partnership with Intrepid Travel since 2018.
After building a wonderful community of women online, who are equally passionate about travel, we decided to launch our own tours to help plug a gap we saw in the market.

We came across so many women who were desperate to travel to destinations but didn’t have someone to go with and/or weren’t confident enough to travel to alone. We decided, therefore, to create tours for women to destinations they wouldn’t necessarily travel to alone. By providing an instant community, we hoped to give women an opportunity to see the world, whilst also feeling safe and secure travelling in a group.
Since our first tour to Morocco, we’ve run tours to Turkey, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Northern Norway, Romania and have an upcoming 2026 upcoming tour to Albania.
So, if you’re intrigued about booking a women-only tour for 2026, read on to find out why we (and so many) believe women-only tours are an incredible way to see the world.
10 Reasons to Book a Women-Only Tour in 2026
1. Women-only tours let you experience a destination you wouldn’t travel to alone
As mentioned above, one of the main reasons we launched our own Twin Perspectives tours is to give women the opportunity to travel to destination they wouldn’t want to travel to alone.
Despite the world being a safe place on the whole, unfortunately women continue to face concerns around their safety when solo travelling, which stops them visiting destinations that they’re desperate to see.
Our tours often focus on destinations that might feel overwhelming to visit solo, or destinations that can be difficult to get around alone. For example, our latest tour to Norway took us to the most northerly point in the world, Svalbard – which although doable, isn’t perhaps a destination you’d look to travel to alone.

2. You can make genuine, life-long friendships from all around the world
Without a doubt, the best thing to come out of a women-only tour is the friendships you’ll make with other women from all around the world.
Although we had a hoped to “get on” with everyone on our first tour to Morocco back in 2019, we hadn’t expected to make such incredible friendships. These have only continued the more tours we’ve done, with many of the women we met becoming life-long friends.
We are true believers that friendships between women are so important and sacred, and there’s something about experiencing new destinations together that only deepens those bonds. (There’s not many people I can say I’ve had a naked hammam with in the depths of an Uzbek cave).
Not only do tours provide the opportunity to make new friends, they also provide the unique chance to make friendships with women who you won’t otherwise cross paths with. From Australia, US, Germany to Chile, we’ve made firm friends with incredible women who have brought such unique perspective and stories to our life.

3. You feel free yet so safe
In recent years, there’s been a lot of emphasis on solo travel but for many women, this just doesn’t their personality or needs. We’re definitely not made for solo travel and believe the best bit of travel is the experiences and memories you get to make with others.
We think women-only group tours provide the perfect opportunity for you to feel independent and as if you’re doing something completely for yourself, without the pressures of solo travel. We always say that travelling in a group of women makes us feel invincible – whatever bumps we might face during our tours away. If you’re feeling nervous, there will be someone to hold your hand. If you’re feeling unwell, there will be someone to make sure you’re OK. If you want to get that perfect shot, in the middle of Wadi Rum desert, of you on a camel, there will be a woman ready to take your photo.
It’s a travelling commune and it honestly feels totally empowering.

4. Women only tours support women on the ground
One of the reasons we opted for Intrepid Travel as our tour provider is the fact that their tours support women on the ground in the country of travel. For example, visiting women-run cooking classes and restaurants is something we love to include in our itineraries. It also gives us the unique opportunity to meet local women and better understand their way of life in the country we’re visiting. Where possible, we also request a female tour guide for our time in the country.
Again, this feels like a really positive act in ensuring the money spent on the tour benefits women in the country and not just a large business or tour company.

5. Women-only tours give you confidence
We’ve always said that travel can be incredible for your mental health, regardless of who you share it with. But travelling in a group of women feels that little bit more special.
Women-only tours are (as mentioned above) totally empowering, and the lift in confidence that your mini community gives you is one that we’ve never experienced before. You head home convinced the answer to life is to simply live in a female commune, where life feels more uplifting and easy.

6. You can relax and fully enjoy the experience
Solo, DIY travel isn’t for everyone and that’s why group tours can be so brilliant.
We always liken our women-only tours to a school trip (but much more exciting). We can arrive at the destination knowing we’re in the safe hands of our Intrepid tour guide, who will ensure everything runs smoothly. There’s no worry about transport through the country, or how to book onto activities, everything is prepared for you.
All you need to do is relax and enjoy the experience, making the most of not having to make any decisions and (therefore) taking a break from life’s hustle and bustle. It’s like a little bubble, where you’re given the unique opportunity to just be present and make the most of your travel.

7. Women only tours will teach you something about yourself
I think we all presume we know ourselves well and what we’re capable of but I find women-only tours always teach us something unexpected. Whether that’s simply realising you have more in common with people than you think, finding a new passion through travel or discovering a new side of yourself that’s not often allowed to shine in the drudgery of everyday life, these tours are mini self-discoveries.
On tours, I also feel like I find my true self – someone who is playful, laughs far more than at home and who loves to learn about new places. Indeed, women-only tours are a great way to reconnect with the real ‘you’ and to hopefully carry that forward more in everyday life.

8. Perfect for first-time solo travellers
Not everyone wants to travel alone and that’s perfectly fine. Perhaps you never will and prefer the company of others or perhaps you’re working your way up to it. Either way, group travel is a brilliant alternative to solo travel.
Although you may not necessarily know anyone on the tour, knowing you’ve got others to meet at the airport or to go to dinner with can be a huge comfort and confidence boost when away from home.

9. Pushes you out of your comfort zone
We’ve alluded to this above but for most women, booking yourself onto a group tour, to an unknown destination is a big deal. It’s a true opportunity to push yourself out of your comfort zone and remind yourself that you’re more than capable.
Not only can it be a little daunting booking onto a tour of women you don’t know, sometimes the destination or experiences can push you outside of your comfort zone too. For example, I was terrified before taking a balloon flight over Cappadocia on our Turkey tour but it was probably one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Without a doubt, I would never have done a hot air balloon ride if I didn’t have a group of women cheering me on.

10. Support women entreunership in a male dominated world of travel
Finally, in the male dominated world of travel, why not invest your hard earned cash on travel that invests back into women in the travel sphere. While many women work in the travel industry in mid-tier roles, those at the top are predominantly men.
Why not spend with purpose in 2026 and invest in other women who not only share your passion for travel but are also supporting women on the ground in countries throughout the world.
