Honest Review of Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment (2026)

by The Twins February 24, 2026
written by The Twins February 24, 2026

What is Renew + Me Skincare?

Renew + Me is a subscription based skincare brand that offers personalised treatments through registered dermatologists. The product arrives by post once a month, providing you with a individualised approach to your skin care, without the mental admin of heading to a shop or clinic when you’ve run out.

The brand currently offers two hero products, the first – reviewed in this blog post – is the Nightly Active Treatment.

This nightly cream is designed to:

  1. Provide facial treatment for age-related skin conditions, including adult acne, hyperpigmentation and sun damage.
  2. Target photodamage and inflammation
  3. Accelerate cellular renewal

The second product offered by Renew + Me is the Serum-in-a-Cream. Again, this is a a personalised treatment that’s designed to:

  1. Offer a 2-in-1 face, neck and décolletage treatment
  2. Stimulate collagen and reduce fine lines
  3. Accelerate cellular renewal

I’ve been holding off trying the Serum, as I wanted to see how the Nightly Active Treatment went first. I’m so impressed with the results, however, that I’m going to sign up to the Serum. At 39, the neck is definitely showing signs of ageing and so I think it’s time to move my skincare further south.

What’s the difference between Renew + Me and Skin + Me?

Although Renew + Me is the sister company of Skin + Me, their products are aimed at a different demographic.

Renew + Me is targeted at those who are aged 35 years – 65 years and experiencing more “mature” skin (sadly, at 39 that means me). Skin + Me, however is aimed at a more broader range of skin complaints, such as acne and is targeted at younger skin.

If you’re over 35, therefore, and wondering which brand to try out, I’d recommend Renew + Me. The ingredients are focused on anti-aging, as well as addressing specific skin complaints such as dryness and the appearance of fine lines.

Both brands offer a personalised approach, using prescription-strength ingredients that are formulated by dermatologists.

Renew + Me’s expert dermatology team recommends sticking with your plan for at least 12 weeks to see maximum results. They’re so confident you’ll love it, they offer a money-back guarantee if you haven’t seen a difference by week 12.

What my skin was like before Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment

At the age of 39, my skin has definitely changed a lot over the last few years. Initially, I put it down to raising a small child but in more recent years, there’s definitely been a downhill trend in my skin’s plumpness and vibrancy. With fine lines creeping in around my eyes and forehead, and more dark circles under my eyes, I felt like my skin had lost its youthfulness and colour.

I’ve never tried a prescription based moisturiser before, so I was a little nervous before using Renew + Me’s Nightly Active Treatment, which includes tretinoin.

What Ingredients are in Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment?

Personalised Active Ingredients

  1. Tretinoin (0.006% – 0.024%) — the most powerful topical retinoid available, used to boost collagen production and reduce fine lines.
  2. Azelaic acid (4-14%) — a multi-tasking antioxidant used to reduce pigmentation and soothe redness and sensitive skin.
  3. Niacinamide (2-4%) — a form of vitamin B3 used to balance oil levels, keep acne at bay and reduce visible pores.

What is Tretinoin?

Tretinoin is a powerful, prescription-strength retinoid (vitamin A derivative) used primarily to treat acne, reduce fine lines, and improve skin texture by accelerating cell turnover and boosting collagen production.

Dependent on your skin type and your online consultation, you may get a mixture of the active ingredients, or (like me) just one. The reason Tretinoin is used is to help improve cell turnover of your skin, which decreases with age. Renew + Me claim that the tretinoin in Renew + Me Nightly Active treatment is 20 x stronger than standard retinols you can buy in shops, and thus accelerates skin renewal much faster by shedding dead cells and improving glow.

Additionally to the individualised ingredients in the moisturisers, the Renew + Me cream includes:

Inactive ingredients

Aqua, Carthamus Tinctorius Oleosomes, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Sodium Carbomer, Gluconolactone, Polysorbate 20, Sorbitan Isostearate, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Benzoate.

My experience of the Renew + Me online skin consultation

In order to start your prescription with Renew + Me, you firstly need to fill out a simple online consultation form and upload make up free photos of yourself. The questions are based around your current skin condition and what improvements you’d like to see.

I’m fortunate that my skin doesn’t tend to have issues with spots, acne or redness. Instead, my main issue is dryness (particularly in winter) and fine lines. These complaints are what I stressed in my online consultation.

What ingredients are in my Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment

As mentioned above, I wanted to focus on hydration and plumpness and less on issues surrounding spots or reducing pores. Once I had submitted my online consultation, I  received an email shortly after with the best ingredients to use in my prescription. These were:

  1. 0.025% of Tretinoin.
  2. Rich base cream

Is Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment Vegan?

Yes, Renew + Me is free from animal testing, animal products or derivatives and is vegan and cruelty-free.

How long does it take to see results from Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment?

Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment is not a quick fix and you won’t wake up the next day looking 20 years younger. I think this is the most important thing to state in my review of Renew + Me nightly active treatment as it’s easy to lose faith in something before you’ve given it a real chance to work.

Renew + Me themselves claim that you need to use their product for 12 weeks to see full results when it comes to reduction of fine lines and I would agree with this. Although I definitely saw some results earlier, such as more hydrated and glowy skin, it took 3 months to notice more subtle changes that had been taking place.

Side effects of Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment

I would say that my journey using Renew + Me Nightly Active treatment hasn’t been all plane sailing. Initially, my skin did feel a lot drier using Renew + Me, and I was worried it was doing the exact opposite of what I wanted it to be doing. After some research, however, I realised this is quite normal to experience dryness, peeling and irritation in the first few weeks of using the product. This is simply as your skin gets used to using a retinoid and it should settle down after your skin gets used to the active ingredients.

To counteract the initial dryness, I used another rich based moisturiser 30 minutes after applying the Renew + Me Nightly Active treatment at night time. I found that this really helped with the initial dryness and after 4 weeks or so, the dryness disappeared altogether.

Another thing to note (which, as a learner in this field I didn’t realise) is that you do need to take extra care when applying the cream. A few times, I’ve absentmindedly rubbed in the moisturiser over my lips and suffered with very dry/painful lips for a few days after. So, just be extra careful when applying to avoid your mouth, nose and eyes!

Changes I’ve noticed in my skin after using Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment for 6 months

So, the million dollar question: what changes have I noticed in my skin after 6 months of using the Renew + Me Nightly Active treatment?

Well, I must admit that it’s only since looking back at photos from 6 months ago that I’ve really noticed how subtly but positively my skin has changed since September 2025. There’s been no overnight transformation, no sudden change of skin tone; just gradual improvement in my skin’s radiance and firmness.

Here’s some of the main changes I’ve noticed in my skin:

  1. Much smoother and brighter skin (particularly across my forehead and under my eyes where my skin was starting to get quite crepey).
  2. Less intense lines around my eyes
  3. Less pigmentation across my forehead and cheeks (my sun spots have definitely reduced in darkness and visibility).
  4. Skin feels glowier and plumper around my cheeks and jaw line

I’m genuinely impressed and have noticed that my face looks just generally healthier and brighter, which is more than I could wish for during the depths of winter in the UK. I’m so glad that I stuck with the treatment in the initial weeks when things felt worse, as it’s definitely undergone a transformation.

Review of Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment: Is Renew + Me worth the price tag?

In conclusion of my honest review of Renew + Me Nightly Active Treatment, I would absolutely say the product is worth its price tag. As I head into my 40s, I was in desperate need of a personalised skincare approach that was easy to remember and, most importantly, stick with.

Renew + Me really do all the work for you, ensuring that you’re putting on your skin just the right ingredients to get the results you want. Even better than that, they take the mental admin away of buying your skincare, delivering it right to your doorstep every month in the form of a daily doser.

I’ve absolutely seen a positive change in my skin, with work colleagues, friends and family remarking on how good my skin has been looking in recent months. Given we’ve been in the depths of winter and germ season, I’d absolutely take this as a positive sign that this product works.
